D/s (with Harry on top, naturally) that starts out business-like and turns into a caring relationship, even if one or both hate to admit that he's/they're in love. This is an Anita Blake xover, a universe I know nothing about so I'm often at a complete loss as to what the hell is going on, but this is Beren, so I therefore expected good things and was not disappointed. *g* Complete
Black, Red and Blue by Coralynn or here. Harry comes into his inheritance. How will he handle this with coming across new enemies and new visions? What's up with Dumbledore? Pre-HBP 6th year. Quite interesting start.

Caged by Beren When Harry became a vampire against his consent he made a decision that changes his life completely. He went to the Dark Lord and the Dark Lord did not kill him. A very clever and intriguing story with a great ending. Complete

O Cant Live Without you by No.1 Bajan Gurl Shoiena Prince Draco comes into his Inheritance on his 21st birthday. He has a mate. Without at least finding his mate, he will die. (Hence, the title.) Trouble is, Draco’s mate is locked in a tower 30,000 miles away in a different dimension. One nobody believes exists. Poor formatting initially made this difficult to read, the author sorted that out, but unfortunately the story still remains somewhat dense and unclear.

The little information they have managed to scrape together has lead them to a shady Goth club, and a former enemy.Written for The Free Range Vampfic Challenge, this is written in first person with the narrator observing and commenting on the interaction between Harry and Draco. It makes for fascinating and 'hot' reading and to the pleasure of many, the initial one off became a superb and highly enjoyable five part story. Complete

# Corruption by Beren. Voldemort has captured Harry and for his own twisted reasons has chosen not to kill him outright. Revenge in the Dark Lord's mind requires a fate worse than death and Harry is about to find out what that is. Harry is corrupted with the essence of a number of dark creatures. This is a very good story as are the two sequels and is well worth reading. Complete Carvedwood has written an authorised companion piece Draco's Story: Corruption and it is both well written and similar in style to Beren's original story. Complete

Dark Bonds by Rose Eva. Harry and Draco are connected through a bond that made it's mark many years before. Through this bond all the feelings they have for each other inside develop and grow into a powerful passion. Features Vampire!Draco and MaybeVampire!Harry. I found this story less than satisfying as far too much was left unanswered. Complete

Fate Destiny and Fatigue by Boom Rhapsody. dark!harry! vampires, werewolves, dark creatures abound. Dark lords and hidden secrets that would astound. Birthrights and forthrights and schemes galore. I'm not overwhelming fond of stories that make out Dumbledore, Ron and Hermione to be evil/wrong/malicious and I don't like writers who threaten not to keep on writing unless they get a certain amount of reviews. However, this is well written and has been developed rather well and the Harry of later chapters is far less dark and more determined and therefore more believable and interesting
Finding Faith by White Rose3. Draco has found out that his powers are coming into play and are going to have a huge effect on him in his 7th year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry Potter, during the same summer, was bitten and turned into a vampire, he's learning how to deal with the change, but still has problems controlling his powers which have doubled. Will Harry and Draco find each other's love in time to save one another and the Wizarding world from Voldemort? This is very poorly formatted in the first few chapters and has song verse liberally sprinkled throughout, but does improve as it continues.
# Flames and Chains by hecticity Harry has defeated Voldemort, but the Dark Lord has a few more tricks up his sleeve even in death. The forest in which the last battle is fought erupts into flames not long after Voldemort's body hits the ground, and Harry runs for his life. But no sooner than he has escaped the fire, he is captured by his old rival, Draco Malfoy... Well written, intriguing with a very original start and a very different, albeit inevitable, ending. To remain forever caught between the darkness and the light. Just started.
# Fulcrum by Beren There are some things that are just not supposed to happen, some wrongs which should not occur; these are the things Merlin knows he and Arthur were created to prevent. Then of course there are also some things that would make things better if they happened and folly or stupidity has stopped them from occurring; Merlin likes to put these back on track as well; Arthur calls that part meddling. Rather delicious HP/Merlin crossover. Complete

With Draco managing to resist the temptation to drain him, just barely, in a moment of blind rage at what he has been forced to become, he aids Harry in the destruction of Voldemort. But even with that threat vanquished, once back at Hogwarts, Draco finds himself disturbingly addicted to Harry’s blood. And amongst all this, a dark shadow looms ominously on the outline of the forest, watching them closely. Interesting fic, somewhat dark and angsty with Harry being something of a martyr (not that he doesn't have due cause) and Draco being his arrogant self, but both slowly growing up and facing their collective responsibilities.

The other was a ray of dark light, shadow hair with taunting emerald eyes, beckoning to come closer a Vampire that chased after him. Quite interesting start although it looks to be treading old ground and is spoilt by wavering tenses and unnecessary author asides.

Constantly changing POV and mixed up dialogue (although it improves greatly by the end) makes this story irritating to read, plus Harry as a Goth with a pierced naval stretches my incredulity to the limit. Complete. Am I worth it? is the sequel. Harry and Draco have finally gotten together but Harry's still prone to deep and destructive bouts of depression. Can Draco heal him in time for the final face off of him and Voldemort or will Harry lose it. Complete

This is very AU and quite fascinating. There is rather a lot of purple prose and everyone is beautiful and pretty!, but the story flows and keeps evolving. My main problem is that Dumbledore is the bad guy, and Hermione and Ron are not so far behind him, although they do all have their 'valid' reasons. Also, in order to update fairly often, the author does tend to post without a beta which is a bit of a pity, but all in all this is different and a bit of a guilty pleasure. *g* Complete

Sounds intriguing but doesn't ring any bells. Have you tried asking at the Harry/Draco LJ? There's a pretty good success rate.

I didn't see this one on your list. It's currently being updated. I'm not sure if you'd enjoy the tone. I prefer somewhat "lighter" toned fics and the beginning is a bit disturbingly heavy, but the vampire aspect of this is rather compelling once the boys go back to Hogwarts. It strikes me as being rather "Buffy" in that the vampires are vicious and a clear threat, but the ones like Draco, anyway still have a sense of soul and identity clashing with the instincts. It's very...erm...gritty, I guess, and more of the classic "seductive, possessive, obsessive monster" type than the whole idealized "Twilight" thing.

Draco is still a prat, but he's had to mature, and he's still struggling with his condition. The Harry is not one I prefer, but he is rather believable, and he's struggling with a power influx after killing Voldemort. He reminds me of some of Lomonaaren's characterizations of Harry where he clearly shows the consequences of his abusive upbringing and his massive guilt complex in his behavior and very much needs help dealing with them but stubbornly fights against it (and thus makes me want to strangle him for being an idiot). And, there is, of course, a developing plot with nasty bad guys...

My only beef, really, is that the adults come across as blissfully ignorant and useless, but that seems to be an ongoing theme in canon HP. Snape seems to be the only capable adult, but the writer doesn't really have him doing enough, in my opinion.
